Kenneth A. Plough '51

Kenneth A. Plough passed away peacefully in his sleep on August 6, 2016 at his home in Los Altos, CA. For the last three years he battled with ALS, a diagnosis he took in stride and fought gracefully. Ken was born on September 22, 1933 in San Francisco. Beloved son of Loraine and Kenneth O. Plough. He attended St. Ignatius High School (Class of 1951), while at Stanford University, he was a member of Delta Chi Fraternity. After college, Ken moved to Los Altos to raise his family and became the president of the family business, Plough Electric Supply Company. He managed the business for over 50 years. Ken's passion for sports and adventures was carried through his entire life. He remained a strong supporter of Stanford Football and Stanford Tennis players. He was an avid helicopter skier, licensed scuba drive, golfer, and an advanced tennis player. He was also a Senior Emeritus Member of the Los Altos Golf and Country Club since 1982. Ken had a passion for socializing, traveling the world and sharing his experiences with those he loved. Among his family and friends, he was well known for his smile and his great sense of humor. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. Ken is survived by his loving wife, Nasrin, three sons Kenneth, Peter and Bradley; his siblings, Jane and John; four grandchildren, Michael, Christopher, Katherine and SophiaRose; and four step children, Siamak, Roshanak, Negin and Niaz.
