Jeremy Thomas Harrison, retired law professor, passed away at his home in Michigan on April 16, 2016, surrounded by family.
Mr. Harrison was born in San Francisco, CA on December 23, 1935, the son of James & Agnes (Patrick) Harrison. Jeremy graduated from St. Ignatius High School in 1953 and the University of San Francisco in 1957. He earned law degrees from the University of San Francisco and Harvard University and worked in legal education as a law professor and dean for more than 50 years, including almost two decades on the faculty at the University of San Francisco Law School.
Jeremy is survived by his second wife, Laura Ellen Marrack Harrison; his 12 children: James (Angela) Harrison, Amelia Harrison, Rosheen (Eric) Hedlund, Jeremy (Dina) Harrison Jr, Alexandra (Moataman Daader) Harrison, Nadya (Chip) Thole, Rachel (Benjamin ) Reisner, Robert Harrison, Peter Harrison, Paul Harrison, Philip Harrison and John Harrison, 28 grandchildren and brothers Robert Harrison and Richard Harrison.
He was predeceased by his first wife, Roseanne Thomas Harrison, and brothers James and Anthony Harrison.
A Memorial Mass for Jeremy will be celebrated at St. Thomas the Apostle Church, 40th Ave. and Balboa St. in San Francisco on Saturday, August 6th at 10:30 a.m. A reception will follow. At 3 p.m. that day, Jeremy's ashes will be buried at Holy Cross Catholic Cemetery, 1500 Old Mission Rd, Colma.
